Is rendering easy?

It depends on what you are rendering as to how complex the rendering process is. In most rendering software, you have to change most of the SketchUp materials for the materials used in the rendering software, this can add shine to glass, grooves in wood and also bump mapping certain materials / textures.

What does render mean?

Rendering is the process of generating an image from a model, by means of computer programs. The model is a description of three-dimensional objects in a strictly defined language or data structure. It would contain geometry, viewpoint, texture, lighting, and shading information. The image is a digital image or raster graphics image. The term may be by analogy with an "artist's rendering" of a scene. 'Rendering' is also used to describe the process of calculating effects in a video editing file to produce final video output.

How long does it take to design / make a model?

This really depends on the complexity of the model, For example, our Television Centre model took several months to complete. Smaller models can be anywhere from a few days to a week or a month. There really is no definitive answer as It depends on the details that the model has.

Can I upload a model?

Currently, it is not possible to upload your own models to our site. You can however get in touch with us to discuss this with us as we are currently planning a community page which is currently expected to debut in early 2014. We will periodically keep you updated about this page.

Can I use your models in a production?

You can use selected models in your production, for more infomation about these models, contact us and we will advise you further.
